Marking the month of women, ‘Gaia- Mother Earth’ exhibition will be taking place in March. The word ‘Gaia’ goes back to Greek mythology, and it means ‘land’ or ‘Earth’. Being the primal Mother Earth Goddess, she has always been a symbol of origin; a mother from whom life has emerged. Therefore, the exhibition is entitled ‘Gaia-Mother Earth’ to throw people back to how the world has begun, highlighting the pivotal role of women in our society. “All organisms and their inorganic surroundings on Earth are closely integrated to form a single and self-regulating complex system, maintaining the conditions for life on the planet.”– Gaia Hypothesis. An explanation for how Gaia symbolizes wholeness; for without the female figure, life won’t move further. As an emphasis to the highly critical role played by women, ‘Gaia-Mother Earth’ comes as gratification for compassion, sensitivity, caring and tolerance with which every woman shines. Whether it’s your grandmother, wife, mother, sister, or daughter, they will never fail to charge you with their thoughtfulness, beauty, and vulnerability. Not only did women contribute to forging a better contemporary society but they also managed to leave their vivid traces along history. Playing different roles, a woman has the power to independently flourish while leaving you breathless by her femininity.
